It’s been a quite a while since my last big comedy update, but it’s almost spring now, so I figure now is as good a time as any for another one. Here are some upcoming comedy and variety shows that I found interesting for one reason or another:
First things first, stand-up comedian and actor Jim Gaffigan, is following in the footsteps of Louis CK by releasing a new comedy special on JimGaffigan.com on April 11 for only $5. One dollar from the sale of each download will go to the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

Beginning sometime in April [April 11], “Jim Gaffigan: Mr. Universe” will be available exclusively for download for only $5. A dollar from each download will go directly to The Bob Woodruff Foundation; a charity dedicated to serving injured Veterans and their families. [whosay.com]
Jim doesn’t have any announced NYC shows in the near future, but if you’re willing to travel a little, you can catch him in June and July in the following cities.
