What’s Playing at Barclay’s Center? (Jay-Z, Rush, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Bieber, Babs)

The first new indoor arena to open in New York City since 1968, Barclays Center is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue that can host 19,000 concertgoers and up to 18,200 basketball fans. In addition to JAY Z and Streisand, Barclays Center has booked a variety of programming including heartthrob Justin Bieber (Nov. 12), gospel great Hezekiah Walker (Dec. 10), The King’s Men (Oct. 14), innovative rockers Rush (Oct. 22) and Journey (Oct. 30), singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen (Dec. 20) and world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli (Dec. 5). Hockey fans can check out the pre-season Islanders vs. Devils matchup on Oct. 2. Family friendly events will include Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Disney on Ice. Horse lovers can enjoy a major equestrian show jumping event, the New York Masters. And there will be many more events to come. [brooklyn-usa.org]

Tickets for Jay-Z at the Barclays Center go on sale to the public on Jul 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM EDT (Buy Tickets). (Looks like there will not be any Amex presales for these shows.)
