Huey Lewis and The News Playing “Sports” at Irving Plaza, Win A Pair of Tickets

Huey Lewis and The News – Sports
Huey Lewis

I may be dating myself, (OK, I’m definitely dating myself), but Huey Lewis and The NewsSports was probably the first cassette I ever bought with my own money. “I Want A New Drug,” “Heart and Soul,” “The Heart Of Rock And Roll,” “If This Is It,” and “Bad Is Bad” are songs that are all literally etched into my brain. On the charts for what seemed liked forever, Sports was one of the biggest blockbuster albums of 1983 and all of the 80’s. Given the album’s significance in the pop music history, it’s no surprise that Huey and the News have some big plans for its 30th Anniversary. In May, they’ll be releasing a digitally remastered 30th Anniversary edition of the album as well as heading out a special Sports tour. The Sports 30th Anniversary Tour will be stopping at Irving Plaza on May 13, 2013 and tickets are on sale now.

Huey Lewis & The News will bring their “SPORTS” 30th Anniversary show to Irving Plaza on May 13th, 2013. Fans will hear the band perform the songs from “Sports”, plus many other hits and surprises.

The band is running a special “Born In ’83 Get In Free” promotion. Once the show is on sale, the first 50 people who were born in 1983 who come to the box office with a valid driver’s license will receive a free ticket to the show.
