On a final note, a lot of these bands, have many CMJ shows lined up and/or visit NYC often, the one exception being The Western States Motel, whose EP Painted Birds Flying In The Orange Mirror Sun was one of the great unsung short players of 2008. Catch them tonight for their one and only CMJ appearance at the Local 269 (269 E. Houston at Suffolk).
