More New TV for 2011 (Bob’s Burgers, Game of Thrones, Skins USA, Lights Out and More)

Bob’s Burgers on Fox at 8:30 PM Sundays (Jan 9, 2011)
Bob's Burgers

Last week, I mentioned a couple of interesting shows (Portlandia and Archer) coming to a TV near you in January, but tonight (Sunday, January 9) is really when the “unofficial 2011 TV season” begins in earnest. This evening sees the premiere of three shows on Showtime; the US remake Shameless starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, Episodes starring Matt LeBlanc playing a version of himself, and last but least, the tired Californication returns for another season of and unfunny and disgusting antics. Back on network cable, Fox is trying for another Simpson’s sized hit with the new animated series Bob’s Burgers. The show features a veritable cavalcade of New York talent including in-demand voice actor, Jon Benjamin, the Comedy King of Park Slope Eugene Mirman (sorry Jon Glaser), burgeoning comic-superstar Kristen Schaal, YouTube sensation John Roberts, and talented comedy writer Dan Mintz (who actually lives in LA). Here’s a look at some more interesting TV shows that are premiering in the near future and later in 2011.
