Listen: Snakes – Whole Bunch of Chicken ft. Pearl and the Beard
Pearl and the Beard brought the house down last month at their headlining gig at MHOW and they’re about to take their show on the road again in support of their compulsively listenable new record, Killing The Darlings. Tonight (Friday, Aug 12) they’ll be at the (very swanky looking) Penthouse at Cooper Square Hotel as part of the Joe’s Pub Summer Salon Series (Buy Tickets). In addition to this evening’s very special show, Emily, Jeremy and Jocelyn will be back in NYC on Aug 23 to take part in the City Winery’s Music For a Cure Benefit.
In other PATB news, the band Snakes recently recorded a song called “Whole Bunch of Chicken” which is an imaginative and kind of hilarious reinterpretation and remix of Pearl and the Beard‘s “Douglas Douglas”. “Whole Bunch of Chicken” was created during the making of The Sleepover EP, a record conceived, written and produced by Snakes in 24 sleepless hours without any preparation in advance.
