2011 Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival
Fall is around the corner, and as we all know, that can only mean one thing, it’s time for the 4th annual Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival at The Bell House and Union Hall. This year’s fest will take place from Sep 15-18, 2011 and as usual, features some of New York’s most popular alternative comedians with a few scientists, authors and public radio personalities thrown in for good measure. Highlights from this year’s fest include the return of the venerable Invite Them Up, The Archer Variety Hour with Jon Benjamin and Jessica Walters(!), Gastro-Laughy-Time: A Food Comedy Event, The Talent Show with Kevin Townley and Elna Baker and many, many more “very likeable” comedians. You can still help fund this year’s event over at kickstarter.com, they’re a little more than $3,000 shy of their goal and they’ve got 62 hours to go (as of this writing). In other related news, the 5th Anniversary of Pretty Good Friends (formerly Tearing The Veil of Maya) is happening at the Bell House on Sunday, Aug 21 with David Cross, A.D.
